Tools: Figma
My Role: UX designer from conception to delivery
The Goal
Allow users to book appointments along with seeing what services are offered.
User Painpoints
Added a message link to send feedback about the product or to send a question.
Added a calendar to select time and date.
Added card payment along with apple pay and paypal options.
User Research
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research was adults who want to book appoints efficiently and quickly.
This user group confirmed initial assumptions about Highbrow Society clients, but research also revealed that time was not the only factor limiting users booking appointments. Other user problems included obligations, interests, or challenges that make it difficult to book appointments. services are offered.
Personas
Developed three different target users to guide me in my research.
Prototype
Usability Findings
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.
Second Round:
Needed a testimonial for reviews option
Needed a navigation menu so clients could access the pages easier
Takeaways
While designing the Highbrow Society app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
